Sadly, from time to time, a Catalan Sheepdog may need to be found a new home. When a dog becomes available we will publish an image, a description and will be honest about the reason for the rehoming need. To help ensure a good owner and dog match it is our policy to vet the new home and owner for suitability.

Hugo
Hugo is a 7 year old, much loved, neutered male, who is looking for a new home due to a change in their family’s circumstances. He is fawn.

Hugo – a loyal and intelligent companion looking for the right home.
Hugo is a wonderful 7-year-old Catalan Sheepdog who has been part of my life since he was just 3 months old. He is a truly special dog with a gentle soul, a clever mind, and a beautifully independent character.
At home Hugo enjoys having his own space and is happiest when he can quietly choose where to relax. He isn’t a clingy dog — instead he has the calm, thoughtful nature typical of his breed, and he forms deep bonds with the people he trusts.He loves being outdoors and currently enjoys three walks a day. Hugo has excellent recall and can often walk off lead safely, which makes exploring together a real joy. He also loves playing tug and chasing games, and still has a playful spirit.One of Hugo’s loveliest qualities is how friendly he is with people. He greets visitors with a wagging tail and warm curiosity, and he has grown up in a home with a young child, always being gentle and patient.
Hugo is neutered, weighs around 22 kg, and is on a hypoallergenic diet with cooked meat. He can comfortably stay home alone for around 3–4 hours.Because of his independent personality, Hugo would do best in a calm home where he is the only dog. He can occasionally be reactive towards intact male dogs on walks, but with the right handling he manages well. What he really needs is a confident owner who understands dogs and can provide clear guidance, space, and regular exercise.Hugo would thrive in a home with room to move, explore, and simply be himself. In return, he offers loyalty, quiet companionship, and a beautiful presence in the home.
