Catalan Sheepdog Club of GB – Rescue
Sadly, from time to time, a Catalan Sheepdog may need to be found a new home. When a dog becomes available we will publish an image, a description and will be honest about the reason for the rehoming need. To help ensure a good owner and dog match it is our policy to vet the new home and owner for suitability.

Rescue News
Chas
Chas will be 6 in February, and has been with his current owners since he was 8 weeks old. They say he’s the most loving dog you could wish for and loves cuddles and kisses like there’s no tomorrow! Chas is a complete flirt and adores people.
He’s playful and typically Catalan crazy with his zooming about and is definitely a protector of the house. He lets them know when anyone is around.
Training wise, his recall is great, loves playing fetch. Sits, rolls over and gives paw.
Chas has a few issues around his tummy. He’s allergic to chicken and has a diet free from that. The vets think he’s had a touch of colitis but he’s fine as long as he stays away from chicken. He is fed a special diet from Tails.com
Chas is fine with older children, but not patient with toddlers, he likes space away from them and therefore would only be suitable to live with dog savvy children over the age of 12.
On the lead Chas isn’t keen on other dogs, off lead he is fine. He does pull on lead for the first 5 mins or so on his walk. He would probably be happier as an only dog.
He’s been clipped for his own happiness as his current owners were not able to keep on top of his coat maintenance and was it was causing issues with knots.
He cries when he goes in a car.
Chas is a much loved family pet, but with a change in family circumstances is in need of a new home.
If you feel you are able to offer Chas a home or would like to find out more about him, please contact Angie, our rescue co-ordinator on 01673 818624 or 07762 416812.
