Catalan Sheepdog Club of GB – Rescue
Sadly, from time to time, a Catalan Sheepdog may need to be found a new home. When a dog becomes available we will publish an image, a description and will be honest about the reason for the rehoming need. To help ensure a good owner and dog match it is our policy to vet the new home and owner for suitability.

Rescue News
Bow – Update! He has found a new home. His owners are very grateful to everyone who has helped make this happen and wanted to express their thanks.
Thank you everyone for your help and kind wishes whilst searching for the right new home for Bow, we really appreciate it.
We love Bow dearly but unfortunately our two 10yr old Catalans didn’t feel the same.
Through your help we have found him a lovely home and he is staying in Devon. We took him there on Monday and already had an update that he is settling in well.
We have been promised regular updates and hope to see him at next year’s show. Thanks again to all!

Below are some words about Bow from his owners
Bow came to us at 4 months old as a nervous puppy, reactive to dogs and wary of people.
Within the home environment he has thrived and is now well behaved, easy to train and a playful loving puppy.
He is now just over 6 months old and we have been taking him to training to mainly socialise him as he picks commands up extremely easily. He is a very clever boy. We can now walk him around town and he is not worried about people and only reacts occasionally to dogs, but there is still the need to be vigilant.
His training will need to be continued to bring the best out in him.
He has already learnt to respect our cat.
We love him dearly as part of our family and the only reason we cannot keep him is that our two 10 year old Catalans are now not accepting him and have begun to fight with each other. Bow has joined in with these conflicts. Prior to Bow’s arrival, the two older Catalans have lived in harmony for many years.
Bow urgently needs to find a new home, to minimise the distress both to himself and the other dogs in his current situation. He would need to be the only dog in his new household.
If you feel you are able to offer Bow a home or would like to find out more about him, please contact Angie, our rescue co-ordinator on 01673 818624 or 07762 416812.
Archie
Due to sad circumstances we have 3 year old (age approximate) male come into rescue.
He was brought over from Spain and has recently been neutered. Unfortunately the circumstances of the owner have changed.
Archie will need an experienced home who can offer training and loving environment for him.
We know very little about him or about his life since arriving in the UK.
It is thought that he has lived outside so house training is needed.
He will need to be an only dog or placed with a female dog as he does not get on with other male dogs. He did not like the males he has had contact with since coming into rescue but has been ok with female dogs. Ideally, an only dog home would suit him for training and attention purposes.
At the moment he has had his coat cut short.
He eats well, walks well on a lead, and has not been tested with traffic.
If you would like more information any Catalans that need to be rehomed, please call Angie on 01673 818624 or 07762 416812. Thank you.
